This soup is incredibly satisfying – hearty, comforting and healing. Unlike most split peas recipes, we do not puree this soup, because we like a chunkier texture. On its own it will become thick & creamy as it sits. This soup if full of flavor from the split peas, carrots and diced red potatoes; we also add a little bit of smoked ham.
